To take back hell, you’ll need to power up. Take on challenging enemies as you level up your monster clans and covenant – you’ll never play the same deck twice. This makes each run and strategy truly unique. Monster Train is a roguelike deck building game with over 200 cards, a plethora of artifacts and a swathe of upgrades for any card in your deck. Each of the following sections is densely packed with complete lists of all of the cards, followed by strategy focused tips for how to combine them for maximum efficacy. Knowing what they all do, how they can work well together, and when to get rid of them is key to building an effective, powerful and fun deck. The lifeblood of your run will be the Cards that you start with, and those that you collect along the way.

Understanding what makes each Clan tick and how to use their cards most effectively is key to relighting the Pyre at the Heart of Hell. ClansĮvery run starts with choosing your Clans, each of which have a diverse range of Units, Spells, Abilities and Strategies that apply to them.
